Changing Sentiment and Filtering Texts

Modifying Sentiment

We have just made available a new feature, modifying sentiment.  This lets you modify, en-masse the sentiment of texts to suit your purposes.

As you may know, computing the sentment of a text is difficult. And people will disagree amongst themselves as to what the sentiment of a text is. It can depend on context and on interpretations of meaning in language.  We don’t always get it right, or they way you want it.  So we’ve provided this capability so that you can adjust the sentiment of texts.

You will find this feature on the Tweets tab by clicking on the the Modify Tweet Sentiment link.  To modify tweets, you first filter the Tweets to find all those you want to modify.   Once you have filtered down the results, you select the sentiment you wish them to have: positive, negative, or neutral.

Filtering Texts

We also have provided an enhancement to the Tweets Tab to allow you to view just the Tweets that match some text you are interested in. In effect, you can filter the Tweets to just find you are interested in.

You will find a new text box on the Tweets Tab where you can enter a text to filter on.
